The War on Democracy é um documentário de 2007 realizado por Christopher Martin e John Pilger.
O documentário centra-se na intromissão dos EUA nos assuntos políticos da América Latina, grande parte da temática desenvolve-se em volta da figura de Hugo Chávez na Venezuela.
Igualmente se descreve a participação da CIA nos golpes de estado contra Jacobo Arbenz na Guatemala e Salvador Allende no Chile.
Também se aborda o tema da situação económica no Chile depois da ditadura de Augusto Pinochet e a ascensão de Evo Morales na Bolívia.

Award winning journalist John Pilger examines the role of Washington in America's manipulation of Latin American politics during the last 50 years leading up to the struggle by ordinary people to free themselves from poverty and racism. The rise of Venezuela's Hugo Chavez despite ongoing Washington backed efforts to unseat him in spite of his overwhelming mass popularity, is democratic in a way that we have forgotten or abandoned in the west. True Democracy being a solid 80% voter turnout in support of Chavez in over 6 elections.
